The Old Choctaw County chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution installed new officers at their meeting April 9.
Mrs. Billie Breedlove, honorary state regent and past vice president general, traveled from Batesville to conduct the installation ceremony.
Officers are as follows:
Regent - Sandra Lobrano
1st Vice Regent - Beth Duncan
2nd Vice Regent - Shana Fondren
Chaplain - Sue Boatman
Secretary - Jo Anne Willers
Treasurer - Sheila Fondren
Historian - Rachel Hunt
Librarian - Frances Smith
The new officers were elected to serve a three-year term. The DAR, founded in 1890 and headquartered in Washington, D.C., is a non-profit, non-political volunteer women's service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and securing America's future through better education for children.
