LOCALS (Continued): Mrs. W. R. Scott and little daughter, Mary Bob, are at home again after quite a while spent with her parents at Stewart. - W. A. Peebles of Stewart has been the guest of his daughter, Mrs. W. R. Scott, for several days. - Quite an interesting Children’s Day service was held at the Baptist church Sunday night. - Mrs. Hushel Buckingham and little daughter Mildred have returned from a visit to relatives in Tennessee.
MATHISTON GETS NORMAL: There will be a Teachers State Normal held here beginning July 31st and continuing four weeks, at the close of which there will be an examination for state license. There will be one primary teacher, Miss Elizabeth Moore and two other teachers, Prof. R. J. Bingham, Director, and Prof. M. C. Ferguson. They will make a very strong faculty and all teachers who attend this normal will be given the very best attention.
SPECIAL SERVICE: There will be a special service on next Sunday at the Maben Baptist Church at 4 p.m. Rev. W. A. Huett will deliver a sermon to men only. We are authorized to extend a cordial invitation to every man in Mathison and we assure you it will be worth your while to attend. - The protracted meeting at the Baptist Church will start of Tuesday night, July 4th and continue till Friday, July 14th. The cooperation of all Christian people of the town is desired.
