By popular demand, the annual Carl Jackson "Home for Christmas" concert is back, and tickets go on sale at the Chamber of Commerce this coming Monday morning, Sept. 20th.
Though having to forgo the event last year due to the pandemic, the annual benefit concert will proceed this year and will be held on Saturday, Dec. 18th, with showtimes at 4pm and 7pm. Though the renovation of the Strand Theater is underway, it will not be completed in time for the event, and this year's show will be held at First Methodist Church's Christian Life Center.
Carl will be joined by Home for Christmas veterans and award winning performers Larry Cordle, Jerry Salley, Val Storey, Bradley Walker, Johnny Rawls, Isaac Moore, and Ashley Campbell.
Launching his music career at age 14 with Jim & Jesse, Louisville, Mississippi native and multiple Grammy Award Winner Carl Jackson performed all over the world for 12 years with the legendary Glen Campbell. A world-class guitar player, Carl has since enjoyed phenomenal success in the music industry as a producer, music writer, session musician, and performer. In 2020 Mississippi Public Television produced and PBS affiliates across the country aired a documentary of Carl’s life and career.
Patrons attend "Home for Christmas" each year from eight states, so tickets will sell out. Citizens are encouraged to go by or call the Chamber at 662-773-3921 as soon a possible. Tickets will be available to purchase at the Chamber on Mondays through Fridays, from 10am to 2pm.
