The North 4-H Mississippi Volunteer Leaders Association Forum for 2021 was held Aug. 14 at Mississippi State University’s Bost Extension Center.
The theme was “4-H Volunteers Taking Steps Today for a Better Tomorrow.” A drawing by Rose Coffey Graham, organization leader for the Controllers 2, 3 and 4 4-H Clubs, with the assistance of 4-H member Ann Pawlow, was chosen for the theme.
Graham is president-elect for the association. Sara Brooks is currently the vice president and Jameka Coffey Harkins is the photographer.
Harkins, volunteer leader of the Controllers Generation 3 4-H Club, received her 10-year pin and certificate at the forum.
Brooks, Controllers Generation 2 4-H volunteer, and Ralecia Gibbs, Controllers Generation 3, received pins for becoming lifetime members of 4-H. They have and continue to be active with the clubs.
Controllers 4-H Clubs volunteers won each category for the centerpiece contest at the forum:
• Formal: Let's Have a 4-H "Ball" — Graham
• Casual: “Stick” with 4-H — Harkins
• Camp: 4-H “Boot” Camp — Ralecia Jones Gibbs
Way to go Controllers 2, 3 and 4 volunteers!
