Deacon Ordination at Calvary Baptist Church

A deacon ordination service ordaining Mr. Jimmy Boswell will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, Old Robinson Road, Louisville, MS, on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. A reception will be in the fellowship hall following the service. Please make plans to attend this joyous occasion.
Bethel Methodist Church memorial service
May 26
The annual memorial service at Bethel Methodist Church will be held at 11 a.m. on Sunday, May 26. This is the only service held at the old church in the Chestnut Grove community where Choctaw, Oktibbeha and Winston Counties come together.
Spring Hill Homecoming Memorial Service
May 26
An old fashioned “dinner on-the-ground” Homecoming Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at 1:30 PM on the old Spring Hill United Methodist Church site located off the Sturgis/Louisville Road. The Rev. Dr. Sylvester Price Miller, III, former pastor of said church charge, will speak the word. Everyone is invited to come and share in this praise and fellowship. Please feel free to bring your own chair. Limited seating is available.
Calvary Baptist Church Memorial

Memorial services will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, Old Robinson Road, Louisville, MS, on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Bro. John Yates will bring the message. A covered dish lunch will be in the fellowship hall immediately following the service.

Sardis Baptist Church will have its memorial service June 2 at 11:00 AM. Billy Higginbotham will be bringing the message. There will be dinner on the grounds afterwards.

Graduations
Nanih Waiya High School will hold its commencement ceremony on May 21.
Noxapater High School will hold its commencement ceremony on May 23.
Louisville High School will hold its commencement ceremony on May 24.
Meetings
The City of Louisville will meet at city hall every first and third Tuesday of the month.
The Town of Noxapater will meet every first Tuesday of the month.
The Winston County Board of Supervisors will meet at the Winston County Courthouse every first Monday of the month. The board voted to change their meetings to once a month.
The Louisville Municipal School District meets every second Monday of the month.
The Winston County Youth and College Chapter NAACP meetings are held on the first and third Mondays at 6 p.m. at Triumphant Word Center, 18289 E. John C. Stennis Drive (Highway 397).
