Sapa Cemetery memorial

Sapa Cemetery memorial will be May 12 at Sapa Baptist Church starting at 11 a.m. with Alan Sibley and the Magnolia Ramblers. A covered-dish lunch will be served afterwards.

Shady Grove memorial

Shady Grove Church located on County Home Road in Webster County will have the annual memorial on May 12.
The message will be given at 11 a.m. by Scott McBride, pastor at Hebron Baptist Church. A covered-dish lunch will be served following the message.

Eupora Cemetery Association annual meeting

The annual meeting of the membership of the Eupora Cemetery Association is 5 p.m. May 21 at Miracleland Church, 45 N. Dunn.
At the meeting, among other business, a proposed amendment to the corporate bylaws changing the date of the annual meetings shall be considered.
Family reunion

The George Bell and Sally Mayfield Cooper 2024 reunion and the Samuel E. and Lettie Long Hames/Haimes 2024 reunion will be held at noon May 25 at the residence of Vic and Lisa Lindsey, 125 Haimes Road, Sturgis.

Memorial Day military ruck march, remembrance
May 27
A Memorial Day military ruck march will be May 27 from Eupora to Mathiston.
Formation will be at 6:15 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial at Eupora Post Office, 107 N. Dunn St. Prayer will be at 6:25 a.m. and step-off time is 6:30 a.m.
Destination is the Veterans Memorial at Mathiston City Hall, 41 Mathis Drive. Individuals will conduct a 9-mile ruck march to meet up with fellow veterans to conduct a Memorial Day remembrance. Veterans, active duty and family members of veterans or active duty that can’t attend may join in the ruck march.

BBQ Cookoff and Cornhole Tournament

The Eupora Business Association will host a BBQ Cookoff and Cornhole Tournament on June 15.
The event will be from 2-10 p.m. at the Garan lot. It will feature live music, food and drinks, cash prizes and more.

Webster County Public Library in Eupora is open four days each week to take care of many of your needs, such as sending and receiving faxes, copying, computer use, as well checking out the latest books for your reading pleasure. Storytime for PreK children is each Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. with Anita Russell
Hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday and noon- 6 p.m. Thursday.
