Benefit for mission trip to Alaska
April 27
Kristen Rogers Holifield will be going on a monthlong mission trip this summer to Alaska. She will be ministering to some of the most unchurched teens in America.
A benefit/fundraiser (gospel singing, concessions and auction) to help with expenses will be April 27 starting at 4 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church. The church is located at 541 Lower Bethlehem Road off Lower Milligan Springs Road, Winona.
Gospel singers will include Michelle Kendall from Coffeeville, Resolve Quartet from Laurel, Gil Magee from Tylertown, the Murphys from Louisville and Phillip McCullar, “The Gospel Traveler.”

Walthall Village Block Party
April 27
The Walthall Village Block Party featuring the Garrett Oswalt Band will be April 27 from 6 p.m.. until on the Courthouse Square.
In addition to music, the event will feature cornhole, the Swig Rig Mobile Bar, and barbecue chicken and ribs with Preston Perkins on the grill. Bring your lawn chair.

Memorial at Providence Baptist Church will be April 28 in Choctaw County. The speaker will be Randy Poss, son of the church’s longtime pastor, Bro. Randle Poss. Special music will be provided by Nicole Oswalt.
Service will begin at 10:30 Sunday morning. Bring lunch and spread with us in our family life center as we worship the Lord and fellowship together.
Cross Roads Baptist Church (Webster) memorial service

The annual memorial service at Cross Roads Baptist Church, Webster County, will be held April 28.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. with Bro. Ryan Spencer bringing the message and Annette Smith presenting the special music.
If you choose not to attend, the cemetery is always available for you to visit. You may place flowers on graves beginning the week before the memorial.

Montevista Baptist Church will have its annual memorial service at 11 a.m. May 5.
Preaching will be the church pastor, Bro Tim Hudson. Donations to the cemetery may be mailed to Sammy Wright, 1560 Sutton Road, Eupora, MS 39744.
The cemetery committee asks that all flowers have a name attached so they can be returned to the appropriate spot after periods of high wind.
EHS Merit Banquet

The Eupora High School Senior Merit Banquet will be held at 6:30 p.m. May 7 at Mitchell’s Central Service Grill.

The annual meeting of the membership of the Eupora Cemetery Association is 5 p.m. May 21 at Miracleland Church, 45 N. Dunn.
At the meeting, among other business, a proposed amendment to the corporate bylaws changing the date of the annual meetings shall be considered.
Family reunion

The George Bell and Sally Mayfield Cooper 2024 reunion and the Samuel E. and Lettie Long Hames/Haimes 2024 reunion will be held at noon May 25 at the residence of Vic and Lisa Lindsey, 125 Haimes Road, Sturgis.
