The September 14 Historical Highlight speaker will be Jeanette Taylor Donald, daughter of W.A. "Alex" Taylor, Sr. of Taylor Machine Company in Louisville. The Taylor family is originally from French Camp and has a long history of support for French Camp Academy. They are responsible for building Taylor Home, one of the FCA dorms for boys, and more recently having it renovated.
Jeanette married the love of her life, Jerry L. Donald. They had 62 1/2 years before God called him to heaven in 2021. God blessed them with 3 wonderful children: 2 daughters, Deborah and Cynthia, who own and operate Something Special Fashion Boutique in Louisville and 1 son, Jerry L. Donald, Jr., a medical device rep. God called him to heaven suddenly in 2014. The Donalds were blessed with 6 beautiful granddaughters and 1 handsome grandson who is a Taylor Sales Manager. Jeanette has one great grandson and a great granddaughter due in December. Jerry and Jeanette owned D&T Services, NAPA Automotive and Ace Hardware in Louisville.
Jeanette grew up attending First Baptist Church in Louisville. She taught the College and Career Sunday School class and an adult ladies class for many years. She is still teaching a ladies Truth Bible Class, which she started about 50 years ago. Studying and sharing God's Word is the joy of her life!

Historical Highlight Luncheons are held the 2nd Thursday of each month at 12:00pm at French Camp Presbyterian Church. They feature a speaker who shares some aspect of French Camp's history and a delicious, home-cooked meal for a $3 donation. The public is invited.
