On Monday, November 20, the Winston County supervisors met to finish up any business for the month. Part of this included approving of the joint resolution that would enable the county tax assessor to collect ad valorem taxes for both Noxapater and the city of Louisville as well as the county.
The 2023 holiday season will see the courthouse closed on Christmas day and New Year’s day. Garbage collection for Thanksgiving week will see no changes, but, during the Christmas holidays, garbage pickups will be one day later than normal. For instance, a Monday pickup would not take place until Tuesday (December 26); normal Tuesday pickup will take place on Wednesday, December 27).
The county is still under the burn ban passed at the previous bi-monthly supervisors’ meeting.
