In a regular meeting held Monday, August 1, the Winston County Board of Supervisors dealt with largely routine issues. Board Vice President Burr Warner presided over the meeting in the absence of President Luke Parkes. All other board members were present.
Jimmy Kemp, county engineer, gave an update on road and bridge projects, and the Board voted to again table the construction permit policy issue.
In other action, the Board:
•Voted 4-0 to approve transfer of $60 from Common County to Dean Park.
•Voted 4-0 to approve payment of June 2022 travel expenses in the amount of $39 for Lindsey P. Williams, court reporter.
•Voted 4-0 to approve payment of Chancery Judge Kiley Kirk's office expenses in the amount of $353.
•Voted 4-0 to acknowledge receipt of the Airport Board minutes for the second quarter.
•Voted 4-0 to acknowledge receipt of deposit for $6.2K, federal share reimbursement #3 FEMA-4598-DR-MS and approve Luke Parkes to sign.
•Voted 4-0 to acknowledge receipt of executed contract for professional services, between Winston County and Fortenberry & Ballard, PC CPA, for FY 2021 & FY 2022.
•Voted 4-0 to finalize the tax roll for 2022.
•Voted 4-0 to approve Claims Docket.
•Voted 4-0 to approve Overtime Report.
