In a regular meeting held on Tuesday, March 7, with Board members Chris McIntire, John Shumaker and Greg Fondren present, and Board President Joey Stephenson joining the meeting by phone, and Supervisor Mark Bruce not present, the Board voted unanimously to order the Clerk to issue a Purchase Order to Central Mississippi Communications in the amount of $46.9K for lease of a Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) for E-911 and a purchase order in the amount of $165.8K for computer aided dispatch (CAD) software for the PSAP.
The Board voted unanimously to award the bid of Dixie Roofing for the portion of the roof of the Nursing Home which is the oldest part in the amount of $25.9K. The second bid was that of March Banks in the amount of $27.9K. The Clerk was ordered to issue a purchase order to complete same.
In other action, the Board:
•Voted 4-0 to approve travel and expenses for attendance to training at the Planning and Development Conference in April 19 – 22, 2022 and at the Mississippi Association of Supervisors Conference June 13-16, 2022.
•Voted 4-0 to approve the Resolution dealing with support of the House bill dealing with Emergency Medical Services and payment by Medicaid with the Vice- President being given the authority to sign on the Board’s behalf.
•Voted 4-0 to approve the Board Minutes for the month of February as presented.
•Voted 4-0 to approve the Claims Docket dated March 7, 2022 in the amount of
$299.3K and order the Clerk to settle by means of pay warrants.
•Voted 4-0 to approve the payroll docket dated February 28, 2022 in the amount of $224.8K and order the Clerk to settle by means of pay warrants.
•Voted 4-0 to approve the Jail Inspection report as the members in attendance to this meeting have toured the Count facilities.
•Voted 4-0 to approve travel and expenses for travel to training to MCDEMA conference May 25 and 26.
•Voted 4-0 to authorize the Justice Court Clerk to formulate an estimate for answering a public records request for the Daily Journal at fifty-cents per page, $12.02/hr., and cost of shipping and postage and authorize the Board Attorney to respond to the request.
