By Fran Smith
Webster County Public Library
Bright and cheerful pre-K children arrived at Webster County Public Library on a bright cheerful April 24 for Storytime.
They sang “Spring Song,” “Butterfly Song,” “ 5 Speckled Frogs” and did the “Freeze Dance” before listening to Ms. Anita read “Mouse’s First Spring.”
After the story the children played with Play-Doh, making various designs and characters.
Storytime is each Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.
Maben Library: ‘Dinosaurumpus!’
By Mary Boutwell
Maben Public Library
April 26 at the Maben Public Library we had fun with dinosaurs. Our story was "Dinosaurumpus!"
The children enjoyed learning about the different kinds of dinosaurs, the different sizes, noises and colors. The favorite as always in the T-Rex.
We painted a T-rex and a stegosaurus. We also rolled a die to do different movements for different dinosaurs. After that, we played with Play-Doh, which had a surprise in it, a dinosaur! They all took a dinosaur and some dinosaur stickers home with them.
On April 26 we had Skyler Smith, Ila Ann and Aubrey Miles, Reese Phelps, John Maddox Champion, Eleanor and John Henry Krusee, and Ian, Seth and Elisheva Barret.
