Webster County Library: ‘Dear Santa’
Even though Wednesday, Dec. 13, was a sunny day, the attendance at Webster County Public Library for Storytime was low.
The children sang ”Jingle Bells” and “Dancing Christmas Tree” before Ms. Anita read “Dear Santa” by Rod Campbell.
After the story, the children made candy canes with pipe cleaners and Fruit Loops cereal.
Maben Library: ‘The Night Before Christmas’
The children were so excited Dec. 15 at the Maben Public Library. Santa and Mrs. Claus came to visit!
The children got their picture taken with them. Well most did — a few didn't like that idea. Santa read them the story "The Night Before Christmas."
After the story the children got to enjoy a Christmas party of cookies, Cheetos and Capri Suns. I gave them candy canes and Christmas coloring books.
Thanks so much to Santa and Mrs. Claus for coming to make the children's holiday season a little brighter.
Last Friday we had Tre'von Fairley, Kylie Joy and Kinley Vaughan, Tyler Kay Bates, Ruthie, Kaytee and Lydia Geno, Skyler Smith, Reese Phelps, Karrissa Bowers, Ila Ann, Aubrey and Asher Miles, John Maddox, Jase and Mills Champion, Will Anderson, Barrett And Stetson Willers, Hunter Bowers and Stella Adams.
Holiday closings are Dec. 25 and 26 for Christmas and Jan. 1 for New Year's Day. We will not have Storytime again this year. We will resume on Jan. 5.
