French Camp's next Historical Highlight Luncheon will be Thursday, May 11, 12:00 noon with speaker Rev. Randy Bridges, pastor of French Camp Baptist Church.
Rev. Bridges has graciously agreed to be our speaker under short notice since our scheduled speaker, Rev. Alex Lawson, had to cancel. Watch for details for when Bro. Alex will be rescheduled.
Rev. Bridges is no stranger to the French Camp community, having grown up in Kilmichael and being married to a FCA graduate. Since 2008, he has served as pastor of French Camp Baptist Church, and together with his wife Michelle and their four children, they are a much loved and vital part of this community.
Bridges has also worked for Oliver Funeral Home in Winona serving families in grief, and since 2021 has been the Associational Missions Strategist for the Choctaw Baptist Association. His enthusiasm for the Lord, and his helpful spirit have made him a true gift to the families not only of the church he pastors, but to the entire community.
At the Historical Highlights Luncheon he will be giving an overview of the Baptist Church's history which has played a key role in French Camp since the early pioneer days. Located in the heart of downtown, her white steeple visible from the Natchez Trace Parkway, the Baptist church has long been a beacon of faithfulness to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Come and learn about the history of his very unique small town congregation. You'll be glad you did!
There will not be a June Historical Luncheon, however the July 13 speaker will be 1974 FCA graduate Karen Winter who was the 2018 FCA Outstanding Alumna of the year.
Historical Highlight Luncheons are held the 2nd Thursday of each month at French Camp Presbyterian Church, featuring a speaker who shares some aspect of French Camp's history and a delicious, home-cooked meal for a $3 donation. The public is invited. Please RSVP to marynellcoblentz@gmail.com or call 662-547-6520 and leave a message.
