Can you believe it is December? Folks have already begun to prepare to celebrate up and coming winter feasts.
Some of our traditions will welcome Advent, awaiting the coming of Jesus at Christmas. Others will simply want happy Santa holidays. Our Jewish friends celebrate a feast of lights. Others will celebrate families gathering. Some will be grumpy and unhappy. Many will be left out, uninvited, and lonely.
Nearing Halloween out came the Christmas decor, sales, and merchants wanting your business. Letters to Santa, town parades, and hope for something special on offer.
How do you celebrate in the darkness? What brings you joy this time of year? What foods, presents, and people will offer you something special?
Or rather, how will you take action to be there for others? In 1996, when George Bush was 41st President reminded us "instead of griping, get in there and make things better." There are so many kinds of bah-humbug that you can dispel. What actions will you take to truly bring joy to the world?
BLESSINGS.
