Life in West Africa wasn’t easy for Edouard Ndecky’s family. There were a lot of “didn’t haves”—they didn’t
have a roof, much food, beds, or the opportunity to go to school.
But Edouard’s father, a carpenter and pastor, set the tone for the family’s happy home. Instead of fixating on what they didn’t have, he encouraged his family to focus on what they did have—Jesus Christ, and to trust in Him to meet their needs.
When Edouard received an Operation Christmas Child shoebox gift at age 14, he saw it as a gift from God. Hear how the gift contained much-needed items that the family hadn’t had before, along with a fun gift that brought Edouard and his siblings and friends joy for years to come on Saturday July 8. Edouard will be at South Louisville Baptist Church for its Operation Christmas Child: Christmas in July event. The event will take place from 10:30 a.m. until noon.
