The pavilion at J.W. Young Park in Noxapater was the place to be Saturday night! The Wells Brothers and the “A” team – comprised of Wells family members and Audrey Chappell – provided beautiful gospel music. Noxapater’s Athletic Department provided delicious BBQ plates, and multiple candidates for office in Winston County spoke to the crowd.
Candidates who spoke included Winston County Circuit Clerk candidates Christy Wilson Bennett and Glenda Johnson, Sheriff’s Office candidates Randy Thomas, Mike Perkins, and Drake Kemp. Town of Noxapater Attorney Zachary Madison spoke, as did incumbent Chancery Clerk Rusty Foster. Incumbent Supervisor for District Five, Charlie Wilkes, spoke, as did his rival, Andy Bennett. Other candidates speaking included Glenda Johnson, an Independent candidate for Circuit Clerk.
Candidates introduced themselves and discussed how they would approach the jobs related to each office. They also mingled with the crowd, passed out fans and cards, and enjoyed the great music along with those who attended the event.
