A great number were present and announced themselves for the offices to which they aspire. There was a large crowd and the speaking was held in the grove at the Methodist church. In the afternoon the Mathiston Base Ball team entertained the crowd by playing two games of ball with Reform. The home team won both games. The first game by a score of 5 to 1, the second 6 to 3. - Before another issue of the PRESS reaches our readers, the first primary will have passed.
