Patrol issued 4.865 citations, made 77 arrests for impaired driving, and investigated 119 crashes
resulting in 21 injuries, with one fatal crash and one death. The deadly crash occurred in
Hancock County.
From December 30 to January 1, there were 4,865 citations, 456 seatbelt and child restraints, 77 DUIs, 119 crashes, one fatal crash and 58 motorist assists.
There were fewer citations in 2022 than there were in 2023. In 2022, there were 8,037, 858 seatbelt and child restraints, 164 DUIs, 203 crashes, two fatal crashes, and 87 motorists assist.
