Well, it was good to have our first Storytime after our busy summer at the Maben Public Library.
We started this year off with an ocean theme on Friday. Our book we read was "Commotion in the Ocean." This book tells about the interesting animals that live in the ocean.
We walked sideways like crabs, sang a song about five little fish, chomped like sharks, cut wavy seaweed with scissors, practiced writing our name and learned why the ocean looks blue. The children played in the water center with ocean animals and seashells.
They water-colored a shark, everyone's favorite ocean animal, and ate whales and drank water.
Friday we had Skyler and Stella Smith and Tyler Kay Bates. Come join us each Friday from 10-11 a.m.!
