“Coffee-with-a-Cop brings police officers and the community they serve together,” revealed Community Liaison and now Corporal with the Louisville Police Department, Patricia Whitcomb.
The event will begin at 6 AM and run until Ming Muggin’ closes at 1 PM.
Cody Ming, owner of Ming Muggin,’ sweetened the deal with the suggestion that ten percent of the proceeds from the Coffee-with-a-Cop event be set aside to go to the Special Olympics. The following week, May 7, the Louisville Police Department’s Torch Run for the Special Olympics takes place.
“We love to support our law enforcement officers and first responders, and they love to see when our community supports them. Sometimes it just takes a little small talk to get to understand and appreciate someone, so we thought – Is there really any better way to have a small conversation than over a cup of coffee? – We hope that everyone will come out and enjoy getting to meet and talk to the LPD officers. We know that everyone will enjoy the coffee!” said Ming.
Don’t forget to stop by Ming Muggin’ next Tuesday, April 30, to enjoy your own Coffee-with-a-Cop!
