If you’ve ever been watching television and saw a familiar person, you begin to wreck your brain as to where you saw him or her from. But, what if I told you three Choctaw Countians will be gracing the television screens, one of their prowess and strength and the other displaying their strength in another form.
Wednesday night, many gathered at the Lively Stone building at French Camp Presbyterian Church to cheer on science teacher and French Camp native, Hunter McKnight as he conquers his dream of outwitting, outplaying and outlasting in the Fijian Islands.
In the preview of Survivor 46: Fiji Island, McKnight is teamed up with another Mississippian, Q Burdette of Senatobia, who refers to him as Thor as McKnight carries puzzle pieces back to the start line.
Does McKnight’s tribe win immunity in the first challenge? Well, to find that one out, residents were able to tune in at 6 p.m.
The Town of French Camp will have a watch night for the duration of the show, McKnight can’t talk about the show yet – until he either wins the $1 million dollar prize, which is his goal, or he’s unfortunately voted off.
But, hidden idols around the island could be McKnight’s saving grace – if he’s able to find one.
McKnight’s not the only Choctaw Countians who are on television this week.
And, if you missed the premiere of Fast Home Rescue on the Weather Channel, you missed seeing two locals, Stephanie and Jeff Cox who owns Cox Grocery in the Millspring community. The Coxes had their home renovated after the flooding in July 2023 after someone from their church sent in their story to the show.
To catch the replay of their episode on The Weather Channel, download the app! A story on Stephanie and Jeff Cox will be in next week’s paper.
