A Louisville woman was killed in a two-car accident, after a vehicle on the run from the police collided with the vehicle, she was traveling in on May 7 at the intersection of Highway 15/25 bypass and Old Robinson Road.
Ashley A. Brown, 43, of Louisville was a passenger of a vehicle that was at the intersection of Old Robinson Road and Highways 25/15 bypass, when it was struck by a vehicle driven by Tyree T. Webb, 33, of Kosciusko who was traveling at a high rate of speed.
Investigator Mike Perkins with the Louisville Police Department said an officer attempted to initiate a stop on Webb, while he was traveling on John C. Stennis Road. Perkins said Webb and his passenger proceed to flee, traveling Highway 397 to South Church Street to Cagle Stree to Vance.
He said the officer continued to follow Webb to Old Robinson. He said Webb never stopped, colliding with the vehicle. Perkins said Louisville Fire Department was dispatched to extract two passengers from the vehicle.
He said Webb also had a passenger, but his passenger did not receive injuries. Perkins said Webb and the driver of the vehicle Brown was traveling in, were transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
The crash is under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol and Perkins said MHP is reconstructing the wreck to determine speed.Perkins said the department has received video of the wreck.
He said Webb may face possible charges of felony fleeing, murder and DUI aggravated assault, once results are back from the crime lab.
