The Louisville Board of Aldermen meeting, on Tuesday, January 18, was presided over by Mayor Pro-Tem Eugene Crosby, in the absence of Mayor Will Hill who joined the meeting virtually, as did Alderman Drew Massey. The Board dealt with an agenda which was largely routine, including the following items:
•Acknowledged Animal Control 2021 yearly report.
•Received notice of board appointment to Airport Board with Mike Forster’s 5-year appointment ending on February 1, 2022.
•Heard a report on redistricting from Mayor Hill.
•Heard a report on the Louisville Rail Park from Glen Haab.
•Approved Devodrick Sims, Justin Marshall, and Toby Lee to the Police
$50/month phone list.
• Set unclean property hearings for 45 Jackson Avenue, owned by Dulcie Stewart & 162 W. Jefferson Street, owned by Robert Dugan for February 15.
• Determined the property located at 115 W. Poplar, owned by Johnny Robbins is in compliance.
• Authorized payment to The Policy Center, invoice 9228, for $317, for insurance on the new 2021 Dodge Charger.
• Authorized E-911 Telecommunications training for Tianna Johnson, January 18- 19, 2022, Ridgeland, cost of room and travel, class at no cost.
• Authorized new police hire of Antwon Plott, at the rank of Corporal, rate of
$17.96/hour, effective February 24, 2022.
• Accepted resignation of Police Officer Charles Ponder, effective January 12, 2022. The Louisville Board of Aldermen meets on the first & third Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m.
