Last week, at the monthly school board meeting, members heard the principals from the six schools within the district present their accountability reports, based on the report card scores recently released by the Mississippi Department of Education.
Overall, LMSD is rated via the state’s “report card” as a “B” school district. The Journal recently reported on these test results, offering a comparison to other local districts. LMSD brought up their overall “grade” from a “C” for the 2021-2022 school year to “B” status, which shows a great deal of improvement across the county schools. Most schools in the district came up at least one letter grade to contribute to this overall score.
