The Louisville Municipal School District Board held its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, September 13, with all board members present. One of the items under consideration was awarding bids for a roofing project at the Winston-Louisville Career Technology Center. Superintendent David Luke recommended awarding the bid to Standard Roofing Co., at a cost of $580K, which the Board voted unanimously to approve. In addition, the Board voted 5-0 to award a bid to Burks Mordecai, in the amount of $2.74M, for the renovation of restrooms in the district.
In Sixteenth-Section business, the Board voted 5-0:
•For approval of a new 1.5-acre residential lease for Dorothy Eichelberger in 16-14- 12 (Center Ridge).
•For approval of the highest hunting bid on the following leases:
•157 acres in 16-13-11 (Liberty) to Isaac Goforth at $5.50/acre.
•546 acres in 16-13-10 (Smallwood) to Smallwood Hunting at $5.50/acre. The Board voted unanimously to approve the following financial reports:
•Claims Docket #334107 through #334303 and August 2022 Activity/Agency fund checks.
•August 2022 bank balances and financial reports.
•Watkins, Ward & Stafford to audit the district for the next three years.
In other action, the Board:
•Voted 5-0 for approval of Rodabough Education Group, LLC Service Agreement to do E-Rate application for LMSD.
•Voted 5-0 for approval to pay MSBA, in the amount of $103.7K, for Worker's Comp for the 2022-2023 school year.
•Voted 5-0 for approval to pay Synergetics, in the amount of $65K, for an extension agreement with LMSD.
The next regular LMSD Board meeting will be on Tuesday, October 11 at 5:30 p.m.
