On June 6, Mathiston Fire Department was awarded a grant from the 4-County EPA Foundation in the amount of $9,931 for the purchase of a new battery-powered extrication ram to complete its set of battery-powered extrication tools.
Mathiston Fire Department expressed its thanks to 4-County EPA and the foundation for their continued support.
Without the support of the foundation, Mathiston Fire Department said it could not improve the equipment and services that it provides to the citizens of Mathiston and Webster and Choctaw counties.
If you are a 4-County EPA member you are encouraged to participate in the 4-County Roundup Program. The funds generated from this program are used to fund projects like Mathiston FD’s and help communities throughout the 4-County service area.
