Dr. Steven G Cunningham is board certified by the American Board of Radiology as a Diagnostic Radiology Specialist in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He graduated with honors from University Of Tennessee-Memphis, Hsc. College of Medicine in 1999. He completed his radiology residency at Oakwood Hospital and Medical Center in Dearborn, Mich. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Jackson State University.
He is a full partner and current president of Comprehensive Radiology Services, PLLC in Hattiesburg which is one of the oldest and largest radiology groups in Mississippi. He is a diplomate of The American Board of Radiology with a special interest in breast imaging. Dr. Cunningham is one of the six breast imaging specialists in his group of 20 physicians.
Having more than 23 years of diverse experiences, especially in DIAGNOSTIC RADIOLOGY, Dr. Steven G Cunningham affiliates with many hospitals including Forrest General Hospital, Marion General Hospital, Merit Health Wesley, Highland Community Hospital, Magee General Hospital, cooperates with many other doctors and specialists in many medical groups including Comprehensive Radiology Services, Pllc, Hattiesburg Clinic, Pa. He currently serves as President of Comprehensive Radiology Services, PLLC.
Outside of his medical duties, he serves on local community boards and Dr. Steven Cunningham was appointed to a 9 year term to serve on the Board of Trustees of the Public Universities of the Mississippi State institutions of Higher Learning by Governor Phil Bryant in May 2018 to represent the Second (Southern) Supreme Court District for a term to expire May 7, 2027.
Dr. Cunningham is a native of Columbus, MS and has lived in Hattiesburg, MS for 11 years. He is a current Forrest General Hospital Foundation board member as well as a member of the Community Advisory board for The First Bank in Hattiesburg. He is the proud husband to Dr. Lakeisha Cunningham, a professor at William Carey University, and they have two wonderful daughters, Jadyn Elyse and Kailyn Danielle. He and his family are members of West Point Baptist Church, where Dr. Cunningham serves as Deacon.
Dr. Cunningham is the son of Sharron Dailey Beamon, a graduate of Camile Street High School, Louisville, MS. He attended school in Louisville his first year before moving to Columbus, MS.
The Friends of Dean Park, Inc., who sponsors the Black History Exhibit at the Winston County Library yearly, chose to display Dr. Steven G. Cunningham in the Black History Exhibit since the National Theme for Black History Month is Black Health and Wellness and since he has local family members in Louisville. The exhibit will be in the library until February 28, 2022.
