The Webster County School District congratulates its Teachers and Administrator of the Year for 2023-24.
They were recognized during the Feb. 12 meeting of the Webster County Board of Education at the Career and Technology Center. Each principal introduced the selected Teacher of the Year from their school and presented them with an award.
The teachers recognized were:
Eupora Elementary School Teacher of the Year: Farris Smith
Eupora High School Teacher of the Year: Amanda Edwards
East Webster Elementary School Teacher of the Year: Joy Day
East Webster High School Teacher of the Year: Lavelle McAlpin
Webster County Career and Technology Center Teacher of the Year: Cindy Ellis
McAlpin was then introduced as District Teacher of the Year.
Lastly, Superintendent James Mason introduced Chip Powell, principal of Eupora High School, as Administrator of the Year.
