The Choctaw County Library System will adjust its library hours at both the Ackerman and Weir branches beginning August 1.
“Based on suggestions and requests from the public during our strategic planning process, we wanted to be more accessible to the community and respond to their feedback in this way,” said Cristin Chandler, library system director. “We are adding evening hours until 8 p.m. on Tuesdays at the Ackerman branch, and the Weir branch will now be open several days a week in the afternoons.”
The library’s new hours are as follows:
Ackerman branch:
Monday 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Tuesday 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.; Wednesday 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.; Thursday 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.; and Friday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Weir branch:
Monday 1–5 p.m.; Tuesday 1– 5 p.m.; Wednesday – closed; Thursday 1– 5 p.m.; and Friday – closed.
Individuals should remember to visit Facebook@ChoctawCountyLibrarySystem for the latest happenings at both branches.
