Weir Elementary FACE Center

The Family and Community Engagement (FACE) Center at Weir Elementary School is open every Monday and Thursday from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. If you or your child need help, the FACE Center has resources available. Choctaw County Library

Many activities are available at the Ackerman and Weir branches year-round. Visit the library’s social media at Facebook at Choctaw County Library System and find out the hours of operation and activities available for various ages. Also, learn how to join the Friends of the Choctaw County Library organization.
Weir Library new hours
Weekly
The Weir Library will have new hours beginning this month. The new hours will be 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Mondays and 9 a.m. until noon on Tuesdays. Weir Lego Club will be Monday afternoons from 3:30-4:30 and Silver Social Club will be on Tuesdays from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
Choctaw County Democratic Party Meeting

Cross of Christ Devotion

Join us each first Monday at The Cross of Christ site in Eupora near the Highway 82 interchange from 7:15 am to 7:30 am for devotion and prayer. May All Glory Be to God!
Full Circle Club

Choctaw County Extension’s Full Circle Club meets every Tuesday, 9:00 a.m. until noon, at the MSU Extension Service Choctaw County office in Ackerman. Anyone and everyone is welcome to join - beginner, intermediate, or novice. The group also meets every other month for a book discussion. For more information, contact the Choctaw County Extension Office at 662-285-6337. The group is in need of yarn if anyone would like to donate some for a worthy cause.
Fellowship of Christian Athletes

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes at Choctaw County High School will meet each Wednesday during the school year at 7:15 a.m. in the school’s old cafeteria.
Mommy/Daughter Princess Tea Party
April 21
The Ackerman Civic League Juniorettes Club will have a Mommy/Daughter Princess Tea Party on Sunday, April 21 from 2:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. in the Ackerman Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. There will be Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, a meet and greet with the Princesses, autograph books and pictures, tea time with mommy complete with tea time snacks, and story time with Cinderella. Admission is $10 per adult and $20 per child.
Potter’s House of Prayer Revival
April 21-23
Potter’s House of Prayer will have revival beginning on Sunday, April 21 at 6 p.m. and continuing Monday, April 22 and Tuesday, April 23 at 7 p.m. The speaker will be Rev. Joe B. Glass.
Providence Memorial
April 28
Memorial at Providence Baptist Church will be Sunday, April 28 in Choctaw County. Our speaker will be Randy Poss. He is the son of out long-time pastor, Bro. Randle Poss. Special music will be provided by Nicole Oswalt. Service will begin at 10:30 Sunday morning. Bring lunch and spread with us in our family life center as we worship the Lord and fellowship together.
Bluff Springs Memorial & Homecoming
May 5
Bluff Springs Cemetery in Choctaw County will have a Memorial Sunday and Homecoming on Sunday, May 5 beginning at 9:30 a.m. with flowers and visiting the graves. At 11 a.m. there will be a cemetery association meeting and at 11:30 a.m. there will be dinner on the grounds. Bluff Springs Baptist Church is closed. All events will be in the area of the cemetery. Please bring a lawn chair.
Karen Peck and New River concert
May 3
Karen Peck and New River will be in concert at Providence Baptist Church Family Life Center at 6 p.m. May 3. The church is located at 1545 Chester-Tomnolen Road, Eupora.

There will be a beginning computer class for adults on the first and third Friday of every month at 3 p.m. There are 10 spots available. Call the library to reserve a spot.

The Ackerman Silver Social Club meets every Monday at 9:30 a.m. and The Weir Silver Social Club will meet every Tuesday at 3 p.m.

The Town of Weir meets the second Tuesday of each month at 5 p.m.
The Town of French Camp meets the first Tuesday of each month.
