The January Webster County Cattlemen's Association meeting planned for Thursday has been canceled because of the county's increase in COVID cases.
EES blood drive
Eupora Elementary School is hosting a blood drive from 9 a.m.-1p.m. Friday.

First Responders
Appreciation Day
The third annual First Responders Appreciation Day is Jan. 28 hosted by Eupora Church of Christ, 2194 W. Roane Ave.
This is a come-and-go event for all Webster County first responders. Breakfast begins at 7 a.m. and lunch will be served from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Horner family
benefit Jan. 29
A benefit for the family of Kim and Josh Horner of Mathiston has been rescheduled for Jan. 29 at the Woodmen of the World lodge in Eupora.
Time Schedule: 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.: live entertainment and kids activities; 12:30-2 p.m.: cake walk; 2 p.m. until: live auction; food and silent auction all day.
Door prizes will be given away every hour/must be present to win. Get a chance to win door prizes for every household item you bring for the family (examples: toilet paper, laundry detergent, soap).

Private pesticide
applicator training
Private pesticide applicator training is being offered at the Webster County Extension Office on Feb. 1 at 10 a.m. and again at 1 p.m.

Library hours
The Maben Public Library’s regular hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:30-11:30 a.m. and noon-4:30 p.m.
AA meetings
AA meetings are being held each Monday and Friday at 221 Wood Circle on the former Wood College campus in Mathiston at 7 p.m. Call Tommy at 662-552-0966 for more info or questions.

The next regular meeting of the Webster County School Board is at 6 p.m. Feb. 15 in the boardroom at the Central Office in Eupora.
The Webster County Board of Supervisors meets at 8:30 a.m. every first Monday, third Monday and last working day of the month at the courthouse in Walthall.
The Eupora Board of Aldermen meets at 6 p.m. every first Monday at Eupora City Hall.
The Maben Board of Aldermen meets at 5:30 p.m. every first Tuesday at Maben Town Hall.
The Mantee Board of Aldermen meets at 6 p.m. every first Monday at Mantee Village Hall.
The Mathiston Board of Aldermen meets at 6 p.m. every first Monday at Mathiston Town Hall.
The Walthall Board of Aldermen meets at 6:30 p.m. every first Monday at Walthall Village Hall.
