AA meetings

County Forestry meeting to be held
Choctaw County Forestry Association will hold their annual meeting Thursday, May 12 at 6:00pm
at Pap’s Place in Ackerman. Mark Measells, MSU Extension Forestry, will speak on Carbon Credit Purchasing Programs.
Officer election will also be held. In order to prepare for the meal, registration is required by calling
MSU Extension – Choctaw County at 662-285-6337 by May 6.
Gospel singing
in Sturgis
A gospel singing is set for 10 a.m. April 30 at the Diane Jackson Memorial Park in Sturgis.
Beginning at 10 a.m., there will Celtic and bluegrass singing, children’s games plus lunch. At 2 p.m., there will be a gospel singing using the Songs of Faith books and others.

Memorial Day
Providence Baptist Church West off Natchez Trace near Ackerman will host its Memorial Day beginning 10:30 a.m. on Sunday April24.
Heath Pruitt will bring the message. Heath Pruitt will also bring special music. Nicole Oswalt will serve as the pianist.
All are invited to come out and worship.
Prayer day
Town of French Camp will host a short program at 7am at the Flag Pole at Town Hall on May 5 for National Day of Prayer.
