The Bywy Volunteer Fire Department held an appreciation day for its community churches on July 29.
We have five churches (Pilgrims Rest MB Church, Red Hills MB Church, Old Mt Pisgah Baptist Church, Mt Pisgah Baptist and Fellowship Baptist Church) in our fire district that serve our department a meal each meeting night. They have been doing so for the past 20 years.
Shirley Wilson has coordinated these meals for the full time.
Hot dogs, cotton candy, snow cones and popcorn were available for those in attendance. Jumpers and water slides were available for the children but some of the adults enjoyed them as well.
Mrs. Wilson and all the churches were presented a plaque. We, the Bywy Fire Department, appreciate all of our community and the support that is given to us.

Our monthly meeting is held the first Thursday of every month. Any and everyone is invited to attend.
