Looking for something fun to do this summer? The Winston County Library has something for everyone. Plus, if you are looking to learn some worthwhile computer skills, the library is the place to be.
Every second Thursday, the library will host Bingo games. All age groups are welcome. The games begin at 10:00 a.m.
In today’s world, possessing computer skills is a must. This is even more necessary in the workplace. The National Skills Coalition released a report in February finding that a whopping 92 percent of jobs require digital skills. That same study also found that at least one-third of today’s workforce does not possess those skills.
Polo Custom Products and the Winston County Library have put a plan in place to correct this issue – at least in Winston County.
Polo has sponsored a Computer Skills class that will take place every first and third Saturday of the month. This class offers eight slots, and it will take place year-round. The class is held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Basic computer skills are taught during each session.
Polo Custom Products is providing the teacher for each class as well as the laptop and software for participants.
