Beautification Day at Dean Park, Saturday, April 6, 2024, was a successful event in that many projects were completed. Many thanks to Walmart for the refreshments, soil and mulch. Thanks to the Dean Park Commission for supplying landscape materials.
Friends of Dean Park, Inc. expressed gratitude to one of its board members, Pastor Clifton Haynes who came with his son Carson and planted marigolds and amaryllis down the sidewalk in front of the pavilion.
Vice President James 'Turkey ' Jordan organized and supervised the event. Carson Haynes, Rhylee and Paris, Warren and Za'Toriah, Za'Mel McCoy and Za'Layah Triplett were some of the children volunteers. Janice Edwards, Angela McCoy, Barbara Coleman, Cynthia McDonald, Gwendolyn and Rita Eichelberger, Mary McWilliams, Mary Goss, Richard Moncrief, Stanley Montgomery, and Therman Eichelberger were some of the adult volunteers.
