The state-champion Eupora All-Stars 8U softball team and coaches were recognized during the Aug. 2 meeting of the Eupora Board of Aldermen. The board adopted a resolution recognizing the team for winning the 2021 Grand Slam 8U Rec League All-Star State Championship in June. The team won three bracket games 12-0, 15-2 and 13-3. The Eupora 8U city teams combined for an undefeated record amongst surrounding cities. A copy of the resolution was presented to each player: Cate Bjorgum, Aubri Chandler, Celie Dean, Cadence Free, Emma Gary, June Westyn Gray, Olivia Hester, Joslynn Latham, Kerilynn Oglesby, Macie Tollison, Braylee Wynne and Mackenzie Yates. Coaches were Clint Hester, Stephanie Hester, Ashley Gary, Scott Dean and Catey Pogue.
