Red Hill M.B. Church has been donating Thanksgiving meals to the Webster County Sheriff’s
Department for five years, including this past November.
The mission of the church is to provide a meal for the Webster County Jail residents during
a season when kindness and selflessness means the most.
Sheriff David Gore and Jail Administrator Latoria Mckey said this act of kindness brings
comfort and community to those who might otherwise spend the holiday alone, reminding
them they are seen and cared for.
“This heartwarming tradition is a powerful reminder of the impact we can have when we
come together to care for one another,” they added. “On behalf of the Webster County
Sheriff’s Department, and residents, thank you.”
