OF INVITATION FOR BIDS
FOR HUNTING AND FISHING RIGHTS
Notice is hereby given by the Board of Education of Choctaw County School District that sealed bids will be received by said Board until 10:00 o'clock A.M. on the 7th day of July, 2021, in the Office of the Superintendent of Education of the Choctaw County School District, at Ackerman, Mississippi, for a lease of hunting and fishing rights on the following described Sixteenth Section Public School Trust Lands situated in Choctaw County, Mississippi, to-wit:
Section 16, Township 16, Range 10: 621 Acres
The lease shall be for a term of three (3) years. The form of the lease has been prescribed by the Board of Education and is now on file in the Office of the Superintendent of Education, and interested parties may inspect the same during regular office hours. A minimum bid of $5.00 per acre has been established.
Bid proposal forms may be obtained from the Office of the Superintendent of Education. Bids shall be submitted for the entire parcel. Only the annual rental shall be subject to bid. A certified check for the amount of the annual rental should be included with the bid when submitted. Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes, addressed to the Board of Education of the Choctaw County School District and plainly marked on the outside of the envelope "BID FOR HUNTING AND FISHING LEASE on approximately ______ acres in Section 16, Township , Range ."
The Board of Education of Choctaw County School District will meet at Ackerman, Mississippi, on the 12th day of July, 2021, at 5:30 o'clock p.m. and sealed bids received pursuant to this public notice will then and there be opened and read aloud.
The Board of Education of the Choctaw County School District reserves the right to reject any and all bids submitted.

The ENTERPRISE OF MISSISSIPPI will receive competitive, sealed bids in the Choctaw County Economic Development District Office, 55 E Quinn Street, P.O. Box 737, in Ackerman, Mississippi, 39735 until 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 30th, 2021 for the Construction of Site Improvements on Lot #1 of the Red Hills Ecoplex, Choctaw County, Mississippi.
The Scope of Work includes clearing and grubbing, earthwork, erosion control, and establishment of permanent vegetation.
Detailed plans and specifications for the above-described work are on file in the Choctaw County Economic Development District Office, 55 E Quinn Street in Ackerman, Mississippi. Plans and Proposals may be secured by contacting Marty Crowder, P.E., Project Engineer, 1150 West Main Street, Ackerman, Mississippi 39735, 662-285-2062. The cost is fifty dollars ($50) for printed plans and fifty dollars ($50) for proposal package, non-refundable.
The Award, if made, will be made to the lowest and best qualified bidder on the basis of the published quantities. The ENTERPRISE OF MISSISSIPPI hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprise will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
Certified check or bid bond for five percent (5%) of the total bid, made payable to the ENTERPRISE OF MISSISSIPPI must accompany each proposal. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish separate performance and payment bonds each in the amount equal to 100% of the contract price at the time of execution.
