The Chargers had a rough start on the diamond in division play after they fell in back to back play against the Mooreville Troopers. But, they were able to bounce back against the Louisville Wildcats. Tonight, they face the second of two back to back games against Highway 15 North rival the East Webster Wolverines.
In their first game against Mooreville, the County Boys were able to only get one run in to Mooreville’s 11. Their first score came in the third when Tate Miller sent a single down first base to right scoring Jeramiah Miller.
On the mound, it was a combination of Robby Curtis, Jack Hood and Moss Bruce. Curtis pitched one inning and had one hitter and two strikeouts, Hood pitched two and a half innings and had seven hitters, seven runs, six errors, three strikeouts and one walk. Bruce pitched a half inning and had two hits, four runs, four errors, one strikeout and three walks.
But, it would be the only score the Chargers would get as Mooreville exploded in the bottom of the third, run-ruling the Chargers.
In the second meetup, it was the same fate. But, the Chargers were able to fend off a run rule, taking it to the fifth. But, they were unable to find their footing throughout the game.
In the second inning, Jack Hood was able to score on a missed ball by the Troopers and in the bottom of the third, it was Tate Miller again, this time scoring Brent Telano.
And Telano’s score would be the last score the Chargers would be able to get.

Thomas pitched four innings and had six hiiters, nine runs, three errors, five strikeouts and one walk, Stevens pitched a half inning and had two hitters, seven runs, seven errors and three walks and Bruce pitched a half inning and had one hitter.
