The Noxapater baseball team capped off one of the best regular seasons in school history with a pair of wins over Ethel.
The Tigers claimed the division championship with 6-2 an 8-6 wins over Ethel last week.
Noxapater improves to 21-3 on the season and win the division championship with a 7-1 record.
Noxapater 6, Ethel 2
Noxapater fell behind early but rallied with a six-run sixth inning to take a four-run win on Tuesday.
Ethel scored single runs in the second and third while Noxapater scored six in the sixth inning to take the win.
Each team had five hits and committed five errors. Trent Roark was 2-for-3 with two RBIs while Luke Reynolds doubled, walked twice and had two RBIs. Logan Sanborn also singled and drove in a run.
Braxton Daughtery pitched seven innings and gave up two runs on five hits and four walks while striking out seven.
Noxapater 8, Ethel 6
The Tigers used two big innings and took advantage of seven errors to take a two-run win on Friday.
Noxapater scored five in the third while Ethel answered with five in the top of the fourth. Noxapater answered with three in the bottom of the fourth and hung on for the win.
Noxapater had just six hits as Logan Sanborn was 3-for-4 and had three stolen bases and scored two runs. Braxton Daughtery was 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and score two runs while Nathan Hemphill doubled and drove in a run.
Sanborn started on the mound and pitched 3 2/3 innings and gave up five runs on four hits and five walks. Brady Ellison pitched the last 3 1/3 innings and gave up one run on five hits while striking out three.
