Because of the COVID-19 virus, memorial services at McCurtain Creek Baptist Church in Choctaw County have been canceled for Sunday.

The EHS Merit Committee encourages all presenters to help the school recognize the recipients of their award(s) or scholarship(s) by emailing the names of their recipients to rcrimm@webstercountyschools.org by May 6 so that these students may be recognized via the Eupora High School and Webster County Schools’ social media pages.

Edgeworth Cemetery Committee will meet at 10:30 a.m. May 10 under the big oak tree at the church. Everyone bring flowers and decorate the graves.

Bradford Chapel Baptist Church will not have memorial services in the sanctuary this year because of the virus, however, you may place your flowers in the cemetery as usual.

LaGrange United Methodist Church memorial has been canceled for May 10 because of the COVID-19 virus. Donations for the upkeep of the cemetery may be mailed to: Judy Smith, 58 N. Joliff St., Eupora, MS 39744. Flowers may be placed in the cemetery anytime after May 1.
Sapa Cemetery
Association
Sapa Cemetery Association will not have the annual second Sunday memorial services May 10 because of the COVID-19 virus concerns.

The Mt. Moriah Methodist Church, Webster County, memorial service on May 17 has been canceled because of the concerns of the spread of COVID-19. The cemetery is open that week to welcome visitors and to the placement of flowers on graves.

Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church will not have memorial services in the sanctuary this year because of the virus. You may place your flowers in the cemetery as usual.

The Eupora Board of Aldermen meets at 6 p.m. every first Monday at Eupora City Hall.
The Maben Board of Aldermen meets at 5:30 p.m. every first Tuesday at Maben Town Hall.
The Mantee Board of Aldermen meets at 6 p.m. every first Monday at Mantee Village Hall.
The Mathiston Board of Aldermen meets at 6 p.m. every first Monday at Mathiston Town Hall.
The Walthall Board of Aldermen meets at 6:30 p.m. every first Monday at Walthall Village Hall.
