Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cookbook Fundraiser

Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Webster County has new cookbooks available: “Cooking with Grace II.” Proceeds will go toward the church’s 175th anniversary celebration on May 18, 2025. The cookbooks are $20 each. They are available at The Webster Progress-Times office in Eupora (58 N. Dunn) and other locations. For more information, call 662-258-3109.
Picking French Camp

Choctaw County Republican Party Meeting

The Choctaw County Republican Party will hold its meeting on Tuesday, March 4 at 6 p.m. at the Council House Restaurant in French Camp. Everyone is invited to attend. The speaker will be Republican Party State Chaplain Dan Carr.

Beginner Computer Class for Adults

There will be a beginning computer class for adults on the first and third Friday of every month at 3 p.m. There are 10 spots available. Call the library to reserve a spot.

The Ackerman Silver Social Club meets every Monday at 9:30 a.m. and The Weir Silver Social Club will meet every Tuesday at 3 p.m.

The Alter(Ed) Testimony group meets the second and fourth Saturdays of each month starting at 6:30 p.m. at 234 Lebanon Road in Ackerman for dinner, worship and testimony shared by speakers. Weir Library new hours

The Weir Library will have new hours beginning this month. The new hours will be 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Mondays and 9 a.m. until noon on Tuesdays. Weir Lego Club will be Monday afternoons from 3:30-4:30 and Silver Social Club will be on Tuesdays from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
