Maurice F. Lucas, Sr., Grand Chapter Order of Eastern Star Zone 2 is holding a service project. Zone 2 will be giving away two cans of ‘heart healthy’ soup with crackers to the public. Distribution after Zone meeting will be on Saturday, September 21 at 12:30 located at Still Valley Baptist Church Life Center, 560 Armstrong St., Louisville.

Legion to hold “Bike your Park Day”

Winston County Extension’s “Bucks, Bows, and Zeroes”
September 28
The Winston County Extension Service will host Bucks, Bows, and Zeroes for children in Winston, Choctaw, and Attala Counties. The event will be held on September 28 from 8:30 a.m. until noon. Participants are responsible for paying their entry fee into the park.
Mississippi State and Wildlife Specialists will cover several topics and give tips and advice for the bow hunting season.
Greensboro Fire Safety Workshop

The Greensboro Youth Group will host a fire safety workshop at the former site of Greensboro C.M.E. Church, 2329 Metts St, Louisville, MS. Robert Hutto, Louisville’s Fire Chief, and others will deliver pertinent information to help save lives. This will be a family-friendly event. Harper Chapel Pastoral Anniversary

Harper Chapel M.B. Church and the Bethany Presbyterian Church families will be celebrating their pastor Cedric Wooten’s 10th Pastoral Anniversary on October 6 at 3:00pm at the Harper Chapel M.B. Church. Everyone is invited to attend. Guest speaker, Pastor Robert Brownlee of Agape M.B. Church of Louisville, will bring the message.
ATV Safety Rider Course

Winston County 4-H Club is hosting an ATV Safety Rider Course on October 15 from 4-7PM at the Louisville Coliseum (201 Ivy Avenue). Classes are $10 for each child; for ages 10-13 years old. Space is limited, please register your child by October 7th. By taking the course your child will improve riding skills, build confidence, get started right, and be taught how to read lightly! Students must wear over-the-ankle boots or shoes, a long-sleeve shirt or jacket, and long pants. Proper attire is REQUIRED to participate. To register, call 662-773-3091.
JA Truck or Treat
October 19
Junior Auxiliary of Louisville will host a Truck or Treat at the Louisville Coliseum on October 19 from 4:00-7:00pm. Children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes and join the fun! JA will hand out free tote bags, but supplies are limited. Each child should bring their own bag for treat-or-treating. This event is sponsored by the Junior Auxiliary Club of Louisville MS.
Whitehall Church Bazaar

Whitehall Church will hold its annual bazaar on Saturday, October 26th from 8:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. Crafts, outdoor yard art, patio furniture, Christmas decor, pottery, casseroles, homemade breads, soups, dips, repurposed furniture, and much more will be offered. Whitehall is located in Louisville on Hwy 14 West, four miles from the bypass. Seventy percent of proceeds goes to local missions and thirty percent goes to the building fund. Fall Revival at Wesley UMC

Seniors and Others Game Time
Every Tuesday, the City of Louisville Parks and Rec Department will host a game night for Seniors in the community and others from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. in the Louisville Coliseum Party Room, 245 Ivy Avenue. There will be dominoes, card games, board games, entertainment and social time.
