TRIAD Meeting

Scholarship Banquet
April 26
The annual Michael Sherrod Eichelberger Scholarship Banquet will be held on April 26 at 5pm at the Macon Civic Center located at 16291 Hwy 45, Macon. Applications for scholarship are due April 14. This banquet is a fundraiser for the scholarship which is given to graduating students entering their freshmen year of college or university. Tickets are $25 per adult and $15 for youth. The speaker for this event will be Pastor Napoleon Jones, Moderator of the Northern Bethlehem Consolidated District, Alabama. If you cannot attend, donations are gladly accepted. NAACP Extravaganza
April 26
The Winston County Brand NAACP will host its 42nd Extravaganza on Saturday, April 26 at 6:00pm. The Extravaganza will be held at the Mount Olive Bethel Harmony District Association Building (MOBH), 521 Armstrong St., Louisville. The theme for this year’s Extravaganza is “All In” The speaker will be Pastor Melvin White of Pilgrim Baptist Church of Natchez, Ms.
Providence Memorial Service
Choctaw County
April 27
Providence Baptist Church located in Choctaw County will have their annual memorial service on April 27. The speaker will be Randy Poss. He is the son of longtime pastor of Providence Baptist Church, Brother Randle Poss. Special music will be provided by Nichole Oswalt. Service will begin at 10:30 am Sunday morning. Bring lunch and spread with us in our family life center as we worship the Lord and fellowship together.
Men’s Ministry
April 27
The Men’s Ministry of St. James Presbyterian Church invites the public to come and worship with them on the fourth Sunday in April at 3:00pm for their Annual Men’s Day Program. The speaker will be Rev. Donald Bryant, Pastor of Mt. Pisgah M.B. Church in Preston.
REPM Meeting
May 1
There will be a meeting Thursday, May 1 at 1 p.m. at City Hall. Anyone who receives a COLA check is invited. This includes retired city officials, legislators, state agency employees, teachers and anyone else who receives a COLA check. We have these meetings only four times a year – March, May, September and December with December being our lunch meeting at a place in Louisville. We meet at 1 p.m. the first Thursday of these four months. Dues are $15 a year or $140 for lifetime with $100 going to the state and $40 staying in our local group.
Kids N Katz
May 3
The Kids N Kats Fishing Rodeo will be May 3 with registration starting at 7:30 am at Legion State Park. This is for children ages 15 and under and they must have adult supervision. Each participant needs to bring their own bait, tackle and rod/pole. For more info call 662-773-8323.

Juneteenth Day
June 14
Juneteenth is a federal holiday commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in 1865. Juneteenth Day will be celebrated on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Dean Park located on Highway 15 South in Louisville from 11am-5pm. The event is sponsored by Winston County’s Dean Park Commissioners. Weekly
Every Tuesday, the City of Louisville Parks and Rec Department will host a game night for Seniors in the community and others from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. in the Louisville Coliseum Party Room, 245 Ivy Avenue. There will be dominoes, card games, board games, entertainment, and social time.
