From Press & Staff Reports
Clay County investigators need the public’s help finding a burglary suspect who authorities say could be in this area.
Blake Corder is wanted by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office for grand larceny and burglary, according to a press release posted Thursday on the department’s website. Sheriff Eddie Scott said the charges are related to a theft of a pickup and the burglary of a building at Prestage Farms in Pheba.
Another man, Jake Huffman, is already in state custody, WTVA News reported last week. Officials told the station the two men broke into the building and got away with equipment and the truck full of tools.
Scott said the crimes happened in late September and the truck has since been recovered in Montgomery County.
As previously reported in this newspaper, Huffman, 28, of Mantee, was apprehended Oct. 11 in Clay County on an unrelated felony warrant for grand larceny. That charge was in connection with the Oct. 3 theft of a car in Stewart. He was being held in the Webster County Jail for the Mississippi Department of Corrections following his arrest.
Officials say Corder, 25, could be in the area of Montgomery, Webster and Choctaw counties, according to WTVA.
