The Louisville Police Department is once again reaching out to the community to promote positive relationships with local citizens. In April, local officers greeted and served customers at Ming Muggin.’ On June 20, next Thursday, officers will be on tap to meet and greet customers at Hardees. This event, Breakfast with a Cop, is an opportunity to come out and meet our local policemen and women. The officers will be inside Hardees from 8 AM – 12 PM, and, in order to participate in the meet-and-greet, customers will need to come inside. Drivethrough is not an option if you’d like to participate. Patricia Whitcomb, Corporal for LPD and the department’s Community Liaison, noted, “Breakfast with cops is a great way to start the day – not only do you get a good meal, but you also get to build trust and understanding with those who serve and protect our com - munities.” LPD Chief Sean Holdiness added, “The Louisville Police Department sched - ules these events so our citizens can have a positive visit with our officers where conversation can be focused on getting to know one another. Usually, citizens meet officers at times of distress, such as a motor vehicle acci - dent, a disturbance, a citation, or some other form of com - plaint. LPD is dedi - cated to community policing and positive interaction with the people we serve.” Be sure to stop by Hardee’s for a deli - cious breakfast and coffee; while you’re there, get to know our local officers.
