The Friends of Dean Park, Inc. was elated that two groups of youth came to Beautification Day. There were members of the Winston County Youth and College Chapter NAACP and the BETA Club of Louisville High School. They transplanted flowers, removed weeds, and racked leaves.
Some helped to tear down the raised bed gardens that have fallen apart in the back of the park. Many adults were there to help which included hedging, fertilizing, and weeding.
Refreshments were provided by Robert Beck of Beck’s Funeral Home, Louisville. The Officers of FODP thank all those that helped and donated flowers. There is plenty of work left to be down.
