Congratulations to Pastor Stephen and Clara Hampton who had their Silver Anniversary on September 21, 2021. To celebrate their 25th, they had a beautiful wedding ceremony and renewed their vows on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Ray's formerly known as Haynes Kountry Kitchen in Louisville, MS.
Their theme was "We Still Do" and the colors were silver and black. They were wonderfully blessed to have their 5 children (Andre young, Anthony Young, Christopher Hampton, Kelsey Wingo, and Kierra Wallace), daughter-in-laws (Crystal Young and Shannon Young), Siblings (Mary Hampton Wise, Gary Hampton, Don Hampton, and Elon Levelle Miller), sister-in-law (Robin Miller), Niece and Nephew (Kira Haynes and Karlton Haynes) to participate. All grandchildren participated except three.
After the processional, and the couple entered, Stephen sang "You Are Still Beautiful To Me" to the tune of "You Are So Beautiful To Me", to his bride. The latter is the song that he sang to her at their wedding 25 years ago.
As they renewed their vows, and exchanged their own vows to each other, they reflected back on their 25 years together (very emotional). Their children did beautiful tributes to them that was so meaningful. Their grandson, Jaylon Young and Nephew, Patrick Miller, did a great job as ushers as they took temperatures, made sure everyone had on masks, and sprayed sanitizer. Their beautiful granddaughter, Kiersten Ball, served as the Guest Register, making sure everyone sanitized their hands before signing the guest book. The younger grandchildren topped the cake, starting with their 11-year-old granddaughter and grandson, Georgen Benefield and Shane Young, who were miniature bridesmaid and groomsman. They were so cute and handsome. Next, their 8-year-old grandsons, Blake Young and Jakyrie Young who were Bell Boys came down the aisle ringing their bells and saying "Here comes the Honorees! My Nana and Pa-Pa Steve". That was too cute!
Then the couple's 2- and 3-year-old granddaughters, Camille Wallace and Skye Young, really stole the show! They were so cute coming down the aisle throwing out their flowers. But, the 2 year old (Camille) was very concerned about leaving hers on the floor and felt like she needed to go back and pick them up. That was hilarious. Thanks to all the guests that came, especially Rev. and Mrs. Benjamin Pittman. Rev. Pittman married the couple 25 years ago, and came again to officiate this ceremony. Special Thanks to Rita Eichelberger and Asia Eichelberger for all of their hard work coordinating everything.
Thanks to Carol Black for making everything so beautiful. Thanks to Carol Haynes for the delicious food. Thanks to their nephew, Eron Miller, the Videography for the video. Thanks to Elton Rash, the Photographer for the beautiful pictures. Both made memories for a lifetime. Also, Special thanks to Kenneth and Ora Hoskins, their daughter in law's parents, for coming from Oxford, MS. Thanks to the couple's cousin and wife, Rev . and Mrs. Preston Coleman, for driving down from Oxford, MS and singing a very appropriate Duet, "Just One Lifetime of Loving You". Also, Thanks to the musician, Kanika Coburn for the beautiful music and song, "Love Lift Us Up Where We Belong".
Clara retired from BancorpSouth in Louisville in 2014 after working for 34 years. Stephen worked for Georgia Pacific in Louisville for many years and then the GP in Taylorsville, MS. He also worked at Taylor Machine Works, and Nissan Automotive Plant in Canton, MS. The couple now operate their own business, Hampton Young Corp, which is co-owned with their son, Anthony Young. Hampton Young Corp is a lawn service and janitorial business that has almost 100 employees, and business contracts in 5 states (MS, AL, TN, GA, and FL). The business was started in 2015 and has been very successful. Rev. Hampton also pastors a church, Mission Ridge MB Church, in Preston MS. The couple Thank God for blessing their marriage and allowing them to stay together for 25 years, blessing their children to have college degrees and good jobs, and blessing their business to be successful.
They Still Do.
