Fame Church of God
Good day everyone. Hope you all had a great week. I guess it’s safe to say don’t panic. God is in control, just use good hygiene practices.
I want to talk to you today about the word of God from Psalm 120. This chapter is quite beneficial to the believer. God reminds us not to fear as well as giving us a promise that he does not sleep or slumber. He is always working on our behalf.
Like in the book of Esther, God put Mordecai and his niece Esther the orphan in strategic places by the hand of providence. Therefore the Jews, God’s chosen people, were saved.
I want to tell you a fact about the book of Esther. There is no mention of God, yet because of the serious situation and the raising of these two, you can definitely tell through scripture that they are believers in that Esther asked Mordecai to gather the Jews to fast and pray. Through the hand of God the assassination attempts against them were thwarted.
I want you to understand today that the world would want you to believe in luck, happenstance or coincidence, but church, I want you understand that it was no coincidence that the man of God Mordecai and that the orphan Esther were placed into positions supernaturally by the power and providence of God. The Lord used them for his glory to save his people.
Church, you are not just a nobody. Each of you are a somebody placed in the right place and the right time for the glory of God and his purpose.
If you go back and read this short book of Esther, you will see and realize that even though it doesn’t mention God throughout these 10 chapters, we can see God moving behind the scenes on behalf of his people. Unlike the king who had insomnia and could not sleep, God intentionally does not sleep or slumber as he is continually working on our behalf.
Please be in prayer for all those who are sick, hurting, lost loved ones, those who are out of work or have been affected by the weather and those who has recently lost loved ones. Pray for our nation, our country and president during this time.
NOTE: Because of the recommendations made by the CDC to cancel or postpone gatherings and in order to be in compliance with this and protect all of you, we have made the decision to postpone our fifth Sunday night communitywide singing until further notice.
God bless you. Our prayers are with you all.
